TSS Lingering In the Shadows: Part Four
How could this be the future if were still in the U.Z.Z. base? Victor said, still looking around in awe.
I can answer this one, Lis said to Mel. She then turned to Victor and said, We were brought to the exact same place that we left from in the past. Its complicated; I dont expect you to understand.
Victor, being offended by this, said Hey, I would be able to understand!
Sure you would. Lis said sarcastically. Victor pouted at this.
So how far are we in the future right now? Professor Professor said, still looking around. His lab looked very different. There were many new inventions and gadgets lying around, and there also was someone in the back room who he was trying to listen to. No one else seemed to notice.
Maybe about twenty years or so for you and about five minutes for me Mel said while looking at the time on Victors phone before giving it back to him. Your phones frozen. The connection on it is dead, including the time. It wont be able to contact anything She said while handing it back to him.
Excuse me while I go take care of something. Lis said as she ran to the back room. She heard the noises coming from the back room and saw how Professor Professor was listening in on it.
Whats she in a hurry for? Victor said confusedly. He was just playing with his phone, still wondering why his phone was working before but was dead now. The screen was still on, still displaying everything, almost as if it was stuck in time.
Lis then came back from the back room. She went pale knowing how close they came to having someone discover who they brought back from the past.
What happened? Mel said as though the answer wouldnt be important.
Lis, still in shock from how close they came to being discovered said, There was someone in the other room but dont worry, theyre gone now.
Mel, also turning pale stuttered, Who was it?
Um . . . Lis whispered to Mel, my mom, but dont worry, shes gone now.
Are you sure? Mel whispered to Lis.
What are you two whispering about? Victor said, interrupting their conversation. And didnt you say that you were going to show us our futures.
At this point, Professor Professor was in his own world. He was walking around the lab and admiring everything in sight. He was amazed at all of the new technology. Everything here was new to him. There was one thing here though that interested him most. It was this one corner with gadgets and weapons that seemed very unlike anything that would be of any use to U.Z.Z.. There were ray guns of shapes unlike anything an U.Z.Z. agent would use. There were also some weird parts of machines piled on shelves, all black. What really caught his eye, though, was that there were a few T.H.E.M. emblems printed on objects on the shelves. Curious at this sight, he asked, Why are there T.H.E.M. weapons in my lab?
